So the dollar is the most important thing to you?
That is a rather sad way of living.

There is a duality in life and most if not all things. Trucking is a major duality occupation.

IMO it is perhaps both the best and worst job ever. Yes, that is a real possibility.

Actually, No my family is the most important thing to me in my life. But are we not talking about work in this thread? I mean it only makes sense when anyone uses common sense on any level regarding work that working for a fair wage in a good work environment matters. Nothing is wrong with wanting to be paid a good wage in life.

Also, money can always be made in life but time is something we can never get back. Therefore one must use their time wisely in life so they can spend more time with the ones they love.

It's the only reason I drive a truck or do anything considered "work".

Sad, to me, are those people who win the lottery on Saturday then show up to work on Monday.

I see both sides. One can have top dollar, or at least good money, plus a good job. It comes down to setting oneself up for success by doing the right things, working hard and towards a goal.

Your wife's father in law? Wouldn't that be your father?

Anyway, sure. Despite all the BS there is still the adventurous aspect that draws people in. Hard to go back to a regular job if it gets under your skin.
