Ups, Sysco, Pepsi etc.. union jobs. I made $88k last year averaging over $1693/week. Yes, a lot of politics and stress with management, sometimes night shifts etc..but hard work pays off.

Not Sysco in South Florida. That was a teamsters union gig too.

Not many. There is a bigger outfit around here offering $24/hr for 2nd shift local work M-F 2pm-Midnight. That’s $1200 straight time or $1320 if they pay OT after 40. I can gross that much doing easy local work with my little truck (sometimes better) but if it blows up or something I ain’t buying another one. I’m asking those guys for a job. If money was the primary issue I’d already be there.

There was a Jersey can hauler I used to see at the ports that had “Too blessed to be stressed” in big white font on te back of his truck. I used to amuse myself wondering how much it would cost to put the opposite on my back window lol.

I assume he means “OTR Trucking”, which is basically the same job for most guys. On the other hand is local work, which to me is just a “job that happens to involve driving a truck” rather than “Trucking” in the traditional sense.
