GENERALLY my bills did not get into too much detail what is in that trailer. Just pallet count and weight which isnt all that heavy either.
Once in a while the shipper in Memphis might say to us, we need to be careful with this product such and such or other.
Sometimes I miss hauling ice cream. No one really wants icecream like they would want pharma.Ougigoug Thanks this. -
By the way something nobody has mentioned.
Over the years I've had a good bit of 'damaged' products.
It's never a lot all at once, usually just a few cases here and there.
Working for a smaller company, they usually just say destroy or donate.
I normally donate it to myself.
I have ended up with barbecue sauce, meat, juice, ice cream all kinds of good stuff. -

the osd is definitely a plus I miss the case of damaged goods once and awhile . but on paper it appears that reefer pays more than dry van when all the numbers are in I make more and better quality of life with a van .... cost of the trailer is double and the cost to maintain the unit repairs can be a nightmare. time and money at the trailer washouts. and the constant dealing with aholes at shippers and recievers , and just the general waste of time unloading and loading and seems like every thing is by appointment which wastes a lot of time. .. I am not saying you can't make money as when you are in the right area at the right time nothing pays better it's all the other times why I got out of it .
