Pretty sure most memory cards over write themselves about every five hours

but if you own the dashcam , you own the memory , so you control the memory .
And you also control who gets to see the video .

    For sure .

If you’re involved in an accident , you own and control the video from YOUR dash cam , so you can review it and decide if you want to use it or not .
Sometimes you need to do this quickly at the scene .
The Garmin dashcam is by far the most user friendly one for viewing the video on your smart phone via Bluetooth.

you can look at the video and decide if you wanna show it to the responding officer.

I have two separate dash cams
One shows gps speed and audio , and one does not .

I am not one of those.

I wait to pass a slower truck and only do so when I won't be holding up traffic.

I will NOT try to creep past someone going 1 mph slower than me, or even 2. But there are plenty of drivers that creep past me at that delta v.
Usually I end up backing down on my speed when they start to form a line behind them. (Which sometimes really upsets the drivers behind me, even though I am trying to get that left lane moving again.)

There is so little common sense or courtesy out here.
That little bit of speed will not get me anywhere much faster, and backing down a bit for a few seconds won't make me late.
