I just got me another truck and getting ready to lease on with a new company. The truck has pretty decent paint and I'd l like to keep it up. I was contemplating putting the company placards on the tanks. I do see trucks where the have sturdy plastic signs made up or use some type of thin metal (stainless steel?) to put placards and IFTA stickers on. I've never noticed and metal or items like this in the truck stops or my local truck supply? I would like to be to able to later remove my yearly stickers or placards without messing up the sides of my sleeper.
Thanx in advance

Don't be a cheap ### and get quality signs made up. They won't mess up the paint when you take them off. For ifta decals, put the new ones right over the old.

Thanx Sho where did you get the stainless plates from?

Betcha showtyme made them. Just go buy some thin stainless right angle one edge and bolt them on the under side of the cab. Any machine shop should be able to sell you cut and angled sheets, just got to give them the dimensions.

I went to a sign shop and got 2 rectangular 4"x8" pieces of the vinyl material used to make the letters in a color to match the truck. Can't even tell they are there. Put the ifta decals on the material, they peel right off of the material without disturbing the paint. Several carriers do the same thing. Cheap too.
Graphics and lettering are always going to keep the underlying paint from weathering. Either dont change companies or change the location/ position of them every so often.POINTDEXTER Thanks this.
