To let drivers thinking of Paschall Truck Lines for employment should really not listen to a recruiter there by the name of Michelle . Myself and girlfriend were gonna drive team for PTL, this was Aug 20, 2008. We were told orientation pay was $300 and we would get first day insurance. Well we drove in for orientation, and on first day we learned she lied about both. It was $200 orientation pay and insurance would not be until 7 months, also she told us all truck expenses would be covered on fuel cards or efs, tolls, scales etc. But we find out all that is out of pocket and reimbursed later. Well we had enough when they wanted us to buy locks from them, kingpin locks, etc. and we had to sign a form allowing them to charge us $1500 if truck was abondoned, and they could charge up to $1500 for wear on the truck, seats, interior and etc. We said no way after all the lies and we left on the first day, we were also told if we drove in they would pay mileage, that was a lie also, we never got anything out of them but a very sorry lunch that only a goat could eat. Now we find out the put a bad report on DAC on us. Beware of PTL.
PTL recruiters lie to drivers

Oh, that is BS! You BETTER fight that on your DAC! I am here to tell you, you better and NOW! You didn't even do anything with them and they screwed your DAC? Oh no way! We have an advertiser that will chew them to pieces on here and they are on the home page of the forum here called DacFix. Don't know how long they'll be here as their ads run out on Oct. 25th so we'll terminate them then...but you need to get that fixed and I would even sue them, period.
Matter of fact, that PISSES me off. I want to keep this open...I live right by their main terminal in Murray, KY and I can drive up there. Don't let this drop or you will regret it! -
How can I go about getting it off the DAC ?, it is to expensive on DACfix.

This is what i did with GTS(Gainey) in 05 after i walked out of their orientation and they put that i had worked there on my DAC, it wasn't negative, but they had no right to put anything on my DAC.. After a 20 min conversation they agreed and had it removed...It took a few weeks but it did disappear, and gainey sent be gift basket of sausage and cheese with a letter apologizing "for a severe error. that has not ever happened before"...Yeah Right!
About a two years ago they had the balls to send me a info packet with a note saying "We miss you,why not come back"....LOL
Hope this helps, GOOD LUCK! -
wahwah, that was a really smart thing to do. Glad it worked out for you.
wahwah70 Thanks this. -
When the WiseOne speaks, smart people listen.
You can get the rebuttal process started yourself, but myself, I'd still bring DacFix into the program. $150 is a bit up-front out of pocket if you are unemployed... but if you think of it as A) a tax write off and B ) removing a potential bar to future employment, it's really not all that much.
I'd happily eat Ramen for a couple weeks to get anything that wrong on my DAC corrected. -
i was with PTL for 4 months and they screwed me every wich way they could. my first 25 days with Ptl, i had 12 days of layover in murray and was told i was just sitting there killing time not wanting to drive. i was also told i was going to get a new fleet manager and never did. was given 36 hrs to get from memphis, tn to el paso, tx.
then i was routed from el paso, tx. to ocala, fl. that was fine till i only had 2 days left to get home before i had to be in court. they told me i would get $150 extra par on my check if i would leave my truck in ocala, fl and find some one to come pick me up. mind you i live in chattanooga ,tn (505 miles away). they never paid me the $150, they just gave me an advance out of my own money. then i had trouble getting back to my truck in florida and they threatend me with and abandonment and a $1500 charge for going and getting the truck. i was able to make it back to the truck, turns out i had to go from ocala, fl to atlanta, ga to pick up a load (atl isnt that far from chattanooga, where i had court...) anyway, i took 4 more loads and finally turnd my truck in to PTL on tuesday 12/2/08. i didnt get a check this week, i wonder what they are gonna say was wrong with my truck. anyway, STAY AWAY FROM PTL....... -
there's no way you'll get paid for orientation if you never went to work for them. but their putting something on your DAC is just unbelievable. how do these people justify such nonsense? oh, and yeh, by the way, every recruiter will lie/exaggerate like it's already been said. if they told the truth, they wouldn't be able to hire anybody.
