I would be under the impression that Publix would have driver facing cameras as well as dashcams in their daycab fleet!
Maybe the driver was a new hire that came off flatbed recently and forgot that reefer trailers and tractors were typically 13’6”-who knows?
Either way the repairs aren’t going to be cheap!Flat Earth Trucker and Deere hunter Thank this. -

Working in the DC isn't the same as driving the trucks. Those are good trucking jobs. That they take newbies from the warehouse internally and train them to drive the trucks doesn't mean they're turning out bad drivers or just looking for meat in the seats.

As said above Publix hires from the warehouse. Talked to one of their drivers, he was with a trainer for 2 weeks and then on his own driving downtown city streets. ..in freak out mode at that. Nice.guy but he wasn't ready for what he was doing.

thatsright and Deere hunter Thank this.

Doubt he'll be fired; probably sent back to the warehouse. Publix drivers are former warehouse workers.

How is it possible that even the slightest thought that there might be a potential issue with this bridge doesn’t enter a driver’s brain?Bud A., thatsright, mjd4277 and 2 others Thank this. -
Deere hunter Thanks this.
