I expect better from local guys, but sadly that wouldn’t surprise me.

If they do like my company does they probably turn out much better drivers doing that than what's mostly available to hire amongst what passes for experienced drivers anymore. They don't have a bunch of bad habits to unlearn or think they know it all. They're not paying low wages and making drivers sleep in trucks like indentured servants at Swift, etc They don't even have sleeper trucks. Somebody screwed up for sure but we don't know the whole story here.

Have you not seen them ride the middle lane? They have good drivers just like any place will but they train about like the megas. Ive seen them while delivering to the stores. You can tell the new ones thats not been trained very well. It is what it is and they are not much better than a mega. Yea pay is decent but the training needs improvement. They cant get a good driver off the street because they arent going to work in the crappy warehouse job hoping for a driving job one day that may never come if you aint the right “prospect”….

They allow relocations so they could actually be new to the area.

It doesn't matter to me one way or another. Yeah I've seen their trucks on the road and drivers too. Haven't run across any middle lane hogs, not to say some of them don't do it tho. Hell there's a whole thread in here where lazy steering wheel holders try to justify hogging the passing lanes and not staying right but anyways.. they look clean cut from what I've seen, definitely not part of the flip flop crowd. Maybe the driver just did stupid or maybe he just got some bad news and wasn't in his right mind. It's still a screw up regardless but a little more understandable if maybe he just got a call that his kid got killed in a car wreck or something? Stuff happens.
