Well, the tense winter driving conditions, and heavy traffic was enough alone. But the incessant beeping of the Onguard system pushed me into a fit of rage. I punched the darn display unit and shattered the screen. Woops! Didn't expect it to be so fragile considering the elog unit on the other hand has weathered many a blow without protest. The screen/display broke, but at least the distracting BEEP BEEP BEEP stopped. How much will the company charge for this?

I dunno what happened... (cough, cough) I slipped trying to get out of my seat after driving for 11 hours (cough, cough)

Can you make the beeping go away before you install a new unit? (big smile) :p

Anyone with that bad a temper and so little self control should probably not be driving trucks.

Well I'd rather it be the unit's life than my life. I can't stand when someone cuts in front of me and immediately slows down, causing the Onguard to slam on the truck brakes....especially during early season snow storms.

You drive through a big city during rush hour in heavy snow and try to slow your fully loaded tractor trailer gradually. Well that means 2 hours of beeping in your ear.

Way too distracting! The driver needs 100% concentration, and the beeping is maddening. Try listening to that while taking a GED exam or something. They'd send you right back to first grade.

I don't think I will make an excuse. I'll just tell them after 2 hours looking for the nonexistent mute button I got desperate.

I'm sure they'll understand. I will not pay. If they have a problem, it's bye bye.

    DAC report? Oh well.

Why would the on guard be beeping in bad weather, isn't that the thing that's supposed to warn you when you're tailgating?

Why would you want to fix it? It sounds to me like you have improved and customized that truck to your satisfaction. I would just leave it as is and keep on trucking.
