Will it be approved as a EOBR when the mandate finally comes down?

No Verizon, but my phone is At&T so I'll be switching the internet soon.

399.00 plus Tax at Petro. Looks like I am going to like it. Figures Fuel and log time, but not a true EOBR. I do have EOBR of my own on my computer, I am hoping that it will pass as for what the Fed wants.

    EOBR?

The manufacturer has to certify it to be an EOBR, which is a simple process but given the track record of some devices lack of stability in the market already, especially a few navigation units it is hard to believe that the FMCSA is letting a few get by and put into trucks.

I wonder how do you hook up the printer to the unit, seeing that should be done without a PC to print. The crap that everything goes through a laptop is a bad thing when you are sitting in a coop and being told that you need to show a log or two and can't get the unit to talk to your PC.

Also knowing a bit about EOBRs, I am wondering if Rand is going to provide the two things that are needed to be considered an EOBR, a visual and/or audible indicator of an error on the device and an instruction sheet (not book) that describes how it records the data and how to retrieve data.
