I was always under the impression that the factories do not complete wheel alignments as it is supposed to be part of the PDI at the dealership. With the volume of trucks being pumped out the door every day I just don't see there being 1/2 to 1 hour per truck to set the wheel alignment as it rolls off the assembly line.

My 89 Ranger had like 250K on it when I gave it to a buddy that had 3 kids all popping driving age.

The second one, probably the wildest as well, put one of the rods through the oil pan at 286K.

Never did a thing to that truck except brakes and timing belts.

I bought my sister an Expodition. It made it to just under 300K, no issues.

Got my Dad a 95 F150 Eddie Bauer with the 302. Same, just under 300K, not sure he even changed the oil that much.

And my 97 F350 4x4 is sitting in the driveway at 280K, still running, needs an engine though, original everything, the battery lasted 16 years.

And, like you, it's sitting in front of my new SS Camaro lol.

Yea in 88 they had issues with the engines in them. Mine was going through oil at the rate of about 4-5 quarts a month. After several times back to Ford, I finally got disgusted with it and took to an outside source and had it rebuilt. It was great after that. then later on they recalled the 88 Rangers for the engine problem lol I love Fords. Everyone I had exceeded my expectations except for that one. Always gotta be one out of the bunch lol
