I love that thing though. It could fall out of the truck and still work, and it heats up hella fast and brews fast and is compatible with all the off brands so I can buy anything I want (only mandate is that it's 100% arabica lol).

I am just so frustrated that it worked on the first inverter and not the second even though it's the exact same thing.

    The inverter is Thermoking 41-7784.

The Thermo King inverter is a rebranded Xantrex 1800 Prowatt SW.

What you usually get with a cheaper inverter is poor heat control and RF noise. RF noise would increase static noise on a CB, and possibly cause problems with wifi and bluetooth devices also in use on the truck. Maybe not immediately. I've had cheap ones that took a few months of use before that became a problem.

Reading the reviews on the OP link, it looks like it comes with 7ga cables and no fuse. That's a recipe for a truck fire on a 3kW inverter. Throw those wires away and connect with at least 2/0 cables (bigger if the run is over 10 feet) with a properly sized fuse close to the batteries on the positive side. If you do a good install with nice terminals, that'll make it easy to swap that cheap inverter out when it fails.

    Do-it-yourself.
Failing that, purhaps an RV shop. They do them for campers, motorhomes.
