I'm hearing air leaking from behind Red/Yellow brake control module. What I'm wondering is on the back side once one of those push to connect fittings goes bad you have to replace the whole module piece correct? You can't just replace which ever push to connect fitting on the actual module that is bad? I'm looking at pictures online, haven't actually taken my dash apart yet to see. This is on a 587 Peterbilt.

Does that have a plastic dash.....?

If it does, I’ve seen the dash get “ fatigued” and kind of cave in a little where the brake controls are.....

Be prepared to do a little fabrication work putting it back together.

Yes, I don't even see any screws or anything to take dash apart, I'm guessing I gotta take a flathead screw driver and start popping pieces off? Hopefully its easier than the actual brake valve that I changed a month or so ago.

Just took a screw driver and did just that... Looks like that little piece comes right off... I'm going to mess with it tomorrow when I'm near a parts store. Something screws up out here where I'm at I'm screwed. LOL IMG_20180121_104950312.jpg

Another question? Is it pretty common part to be replaced on trucks when they reach a certain mileage/ amount of use? I'm at 460k on This truck.... or just "luck of the draw" type deal?

no, i have had them go bad at any time/miles. might have to do with previous drivers and slamming them into the dash?

    or just poor quality parts.

either way, i never really saw anything in specific change intervals.

I had to put a small plate and some screws in because the plastic dash was f’d .....the trailer supply side is kinda funky but it’s solid.....

I would agree don’t screw with it unless you have access to parts to put it back together.....
