This may be the wrong place but here goes. I have a single axle 92 00i international that I want to add a pusher axle to. Any advice on this would he great. Also does anyone know of a shop in Ga to get this done?

Just to be sure here. A pusher goes in front of your current drive axle. The axle has a "U" in it to clear the driveshaft. A tag axle goes behind your current drive axle and usually means you have to extend your frame.

i would put a lift able pusher on, that way if you get stuck in the snow or something you can put all your weight on your powered axle or if you are empty or loaded really light you can run with it up.

Is there a considerable weight difference between name brands of pusher axles?

Look at Rowe Truck equipment in Indiana. They have a lot of experience in axles and frames and modifying trucks. I know it is not in Georgia, do google search, should be around Atlanta area for another shop that does the same thing.

Hendrickson makes a killer liftable pusher if one is in the market for one. Depending on the application, they also have a control unit tied to it that reduces the air in the suspension on that axle in low traction situations to improve the drive axle traction without lifting the pusher. It is called the Optimax axle.
