Yes, it takes staying with it forever though. I took of a whole lot of weight back in 2002/2003. On one of these low carb diets. But when I fell off the diet, the earth shook and I've not been able to get back on it. But it will happen, that is if I don't have a stroke or heart attack first. . .

Good luck to ya brother. Might I recommend a book by Dr Neal Bernard entitled "Reversing Diabetes Through Diet"? It's a lifesaver.
Gears, king Q, CondoCruiser and 1 other person Thank this. -
Now if you can just break the meth habit, lol. Just kidding, good job!
I'll order that book, thanks.
Edit: I just ordered it off Amazon. I'll give it a try.

Nope. No crank for me. That stuff is from another era for me. But I still say "I'd rather be on the road with 100 pilled up drivers then one tired driver". Over n out.
Good luck with the book. It's worth every penny

KB that is awesome man. Good to see natural work instead of all the ###### pharmaceuticals.

I can figure alot of things out, but this diabetes got me scratching my head. I just tested last week with a 7.9 A1C. It's better than the 10+ I first tested with last year, but still it's uncontrolled. I need all the help I can get.
I'm having hard time keeping things balanced. Many times my sugar level is 200-310 and then sometimes I drop to 75 or so and start going into sugar shock.
I about got it narrowed down to diet control and I'll read that book. I think with the right diet I can get off the meds too. Getting away from sugar is hard. I gave up many things, but I guess there is more.

Don't have diabetes Condo, but I can sure relate to your level of frustration. Hope things get straightened out for you soon!
CondoCruiser Thanks this. -
Doesn't sound good at all CC. My SIL is what they call a "brittle" diabetic. The docs just didn't believe that she was following a diet, so they stuck her in a hospital and kept her for 10 days, monitoring everything that entered her body. Her levels bounced around like nothing they had ever seen. They told her she probably would not live very much longer.
That was over 20 years ago. She has since had an insulin pump implanted and is able to control her diabetes much better. But even with that, she still has problems sometimes.
Do whatever it takes to control it. Your life depends on it! -
Diet AND (dirty word) Exercise

Diet IS a four letter word. And exercise is 8 letters, so that makes it TWO four letter words!
