Hey folks,
I've never done this before so I've got lots of questions. I have done my research on this and would like some info if at all possible. I took a Cummins ISX out of a 379 Pete and took a 14L Detroit 60 Series out of a Freightliner. The Detroit is going in the 379. I know there were 12.7L Detroit's in the 379's in the early 2000's however the 14L has not been in them from my understanding. Right now I am wondering what I should do for motor mounts. I've got Mawk Industries making me a wiring harness and as far as the plumbing goes I will jump those hurdles as I go. Anyone have any experience in this to that would like to offer some suggestions. Thank you.

If the 14L and 12.7L share the same style mounts, why not track down all the components from an older 379 that came factory with the 12.7L?
spsauerland and ibcalm19 Thank this. -
Many glider builders have done it, sure they will sell you parts.

The 14L came out if a Freightliner, so I tracked down a guy with a 12.7L in his 98 379. My problem that I have encountered is the a water pump inlet that comes from the rad sticks out over the frame as well as the turbo pipes.
