How do you put up with the rude attitude ?? i unload in some really tight spots and feel stress reaching the peak till i get it backed in . I jump out check out my fine backing then i got to put up with these receivers making min. wage talking complete crap to me . I have to hold back asking them to step out side it gets so bad some times . 0 respect !!!!! it's whats killing trucking for me . About 2 1/2 years in and i think it's time to switch to something else, I had it out with about 6 - idiots in 2 weeks .
"can ya move your truck around these cars here / back around that corner and that post so I don't have to drive my forklift and extra 20 feet ?" .
Putting up with shippers / receivers ?

Some can be real winners,eh? When I get in a place like that, I do what I have to, and get out. I'll sit in the truck instead of have any more contact than needed. Then when I get to a decent one, I'll let them know I appreciate them. I've been invited into many a lunch room at a decent place, just by letting them know that.
The good and bad are just part of it, don't let it bother you, sometimes it's easier said than done.Laner99 Thanks this. -
Laner99 Thanks this.

switch to flat bedding. The receivers are far happier to see that incoming delivery.

I made like a duck. I didn't give a #### about them or their attitudes. It was one way I kept sane. Let it go, bro. Those people aren't worth it. They probably hate their lives, but that's not your problem. Safe trip.

i have never actually had very many bad shippers or recievers--some of the walmart dc's they can be kind of high on them selfs--just try not to give them anything to complain about--be polite and such
oops forgot about one--an old guy real dork--hmm in ohio somplace with alcoa rims--he must have had the village idiot on the forklift--cause he loaded the trailer just down one side--then when i mentioned it to the shipper he was screaming "why wasnt i showing him what to do"--so kindly ponted out their rule of not being on the dock--then asked (told)him either take it off or load it right -
Maybe it's a flatbed thing... never had that problem with receivers (but it's not to say I never had any at all - just not that particular one). Only shipper I've ever had that problem with was ISG Steel in Lackawana, NY.

I don't mind the trip now but HATE my destination now because of so many complete JERKS .
1 stop i asked " excuse me i was just getting set up to unload here and their is these cars in the "SO WHAT ! WHAT DO YOU WANT US TO DO ABOUT IT !!!!!!
" I said is there something wrong with you ? , i just wanted a spotter for 5 seconds , some other flunkie came out and said i'll back him up " then stood right in the center of the trailer , i could'nt see her at all lol !
backed it up myself no need for some min wage loser who wants to see you hit something . -
Same as always--it is mind over matter
I don't mind since they don't matter
Besides I'll be 100 miles down the road in a couple of hours and their life will still suck!Panhandle flash and Laner99 Thank this. -
I'm just wondering sometime with those warehouses whether thats why they have the sign up saying no guns allowed. With the rudeness of some packers and store man someone's bound to get cheesed off huh. i could tell you a few stories off hand but hey i feel your pain brother.
