Just, starting a thread about some drivers that "put their foot in it" all the time and seem to think they're the better driver, because they get there first.I'll do the speed limit or 2 or 3 over, but they go 5 to 7 over "all the time". Isnt this a recipe for disaster?

I've noticed a change in others speeds.. it started on hwy 97 after leaving the pilot in kalamath falls.... a flat bed with a load of pipe doin 45 to 54 .. took the 58 west to find a livestock hauler doin 30 to 38 on the downgrade. I-5 was slower then usual. its been that since.. I'm now in texas.. with the exception of some parts of laredo the same is goin on here... so far

Just remember before you drop that phone book onto the gas peddle, there are plenty of highway patrol officers that'd love to write you a $200+ ticket.

Well first im guessing that the drivers you are talking about are company drivers, not owner operators. Because obviously they don't care about fuel mileage. Second a ticket or two will slow them down and out of a job.

Correct, company drivers. One driver hasn't had any issues so far... Another one got a ticket for 7 over and skipped his rig over into a merging car on a washboard road.Just don't understand the mentality. All this risk just to save 10 minutes so they can make pit stops along the way. I on the other hand, show up to leave "on time" and avoid all this.

Ya people who are rushing are often rushing to go nowhere fast anyway, don't let it bother you. I look at it as I have my whole life to drive, what's the rush, don't let your companies dictate how long you take to do something, and if they complain go slower for a week.
