    Some drivers are stretching their drive times, for instance making a seven-hour trip in (as quick as possible time) and then logging it "legal" at five and a half hours.

    These drivers know that if a trip averages about 45 mph in the real world, you can log it at 60 mph and it will pass DOT scrutiny. It's a slippery slope, but plenty of drivers do it with paper logs.

    When each of us got a license we signed a contract to abide by the "rules of the road".

    All those rambos running 60 MPH in the 45 MPH construction zones are very low on my "respect" list, if even on it at all.
