Just drive for Walmart $90,000 per year home almost every night.

Or go logging $6k to 9k per week. As long as you don't need 40 new tires.
Or an engine after 50,000 hours.

Or just be a cow hauler. They have big balls!!

Mr. Starmac just go look in northern Michigan the heaviest log trucks in the USA. Only 180,000 gross or about that.
My uncle and near step dad both got $15,000 over weight tickets a few years back.
If they only had more than 11 axles they would be fine.
Also they beak driveshafts and u joints, and axles monthly I'd say.
I will never own a log truck in Michigan.
$200,000 set up. With truck and $60,000 pup trailers. The good thing is the pups are warranted for life from the local builder.
They are also building a prototype "Volvo" log truck for "Volvo".
But you did not hear that from me.

Edit: 160,000 gross equals about 80,000 net wood. But the load is only worth about $1000 bucks. I think they are paid by the cord figured from the weight??

At 160000 gross they have to be hauling more than 80,000 . I legally haul 61,500 with my 5 axle rig.
I can only get around 500 bucks a load to haul them though, the logs are not worth much here.
There are times when I get more out of them than the logger that cuts, skids, processes and loads them. lol
I did haul some firewood logs at 1500 a load, and I haul some house logs every once in a while for 2,000 a load, but those are 300 mile loads too, so still way cheap.
My log truck is a hobby, no more no less. lol

    dwells40 and Intothesunset Thank this.
