Wires are everywhere, from the receiver to the black box, to the fuse box, to the Qualcomm. I would consider leaving the wiring in place in case you decide to use the system down the road.

I've heard a lot of horror stories about the butchering of looms and harnesses for the installation of Qc's so many that if it were me I'd take to certified electric tech for the uninstall.
If it was put in badly you may create an insanely large headache for yourself.

Frankt_v Thanks this. -
You need to do this 1-2 times per day or the Qualcomm will return to the behavior you described. At end of my shift set the QC speakers to External. At start I set QC speakers to DIU.t_v Thanks this. -
I have my QC set to use it's own speaker (DUI) as well so it doesn't interrupt my music. My QC forever stays this way unless I return the settings back, so that's nice. The left front radio speaker may or may not work though.

No QC no problem! My paper logs never talk back

This is how men learn to ignore a nagging woman..... Or you could punch Jill right in her stupid face.

The external speaker jack (located on the left side of the unit along with a USB plug) overrides any setting for speaker settings (stereo output, or DIU).
Get a cheep external CB speaker at a truck stop, mount it where you want it.
The Qualcomm can change settings internally all it wants, but all sound will continue to come out that CB speaker (and ONLY the CB speaker) no matter how much Jill tries to change her mind.
Plus if you get a speaker with a volume knob, you get MUCH better volume control, which is a huge plus.
I also have a real USB PC keyboard plugged into my QC... So much nicer than the built in keyboard, but maybe that's just me.Last edited: May 30, 2017
