Hello everyone,
We are looking for an OTR long-haul flatbed driver. The truck is currently leased on with Mercer Transportation in Louisville, KY. Our previous driver was earning percentage pay at 25% of the gross pay to the truck; which, we are keeping in place. No forced-dispatch but we will work together to maximize revenue and profits for each other.
We are hoping for a driver along the East Coast or in close proximity to Mercer in Louisville. We are also aware of the huge 1099 vs w2 debate and are open to both options. Previous drivers have always requested 1099.
The truck is a 2005 Freightliner Columbia in great condition as we are meticulous about repairs/maintenance. If and when a problem arises, we do our best to get it fixed rapidly.
We pay drivers every Thursday for all loads settled by end of day Wednesday. Settlement means paperwork submitted to Mercer.
If you are interested, please ensure you meet the below qualifications and reply to me here or via private message.

Attention employers: We now require a valid DOT# for anyone wishing to post a driving position. If your job offer doesn't contain a DOT number, it will not get past moderation and will not appear in the forum. The other requirements in the sticky at the top of this section are still required as well. Thank you for understanding.

Anyone out there?
-
Going to update this since it's been a while and we are still looking for someone to join our team. Please see below.
1) We have added a monthly bonus pay program will be in place.
2) Weekly pay will be 25% of the total truck revenue including FSC.
We have interviewed several candidates which, unfortunately, couldn't work out due to hits on their background check and Mercer's strict application rules. We are also considering Landstar drivers as we have heard good things about running a small fleet with them. Qualified candidates are allowed to share their opinion in selecting Mercer or Landstar.
Hoping to find somebody soon!
(PS - if you call and I don't pick up, please feel free to text 917-577-2383). -
It's been super difficult to find good drivers. Anyone have any suggestions on how I can better my search?
-
Had somebody lined up but personal issues arose and he has to take time off for quite some time. Looking for a quality driver now. Willing to discuss pay based on previous experience. Really hoping to find a good match after quite a long search!
-
What was your last driver making per week ?
-
Sending you a PM.
-
Bump.
Pay will be discussed based on experience. -
If you also don't mind me asking, on average what was the weekly pay for the last driver?
-
I don't mind. He wasn't pushing too hard but he was averaging $3800 in truck revenue per week. So his take home was $950 per week.
