Looking to also see if anyone has had any success as an Independent Contractor ( IC) at QC in Memphis or any other terminals

I have my own unit I purchased from SPCR and it's paid for now

Just looking to not have as many company trucks to compete against

    Thanks

    We need loads too LOL.

I think most of your problem is the terminal you are out of. High Point Guys aren't complaining. Can't they put you on something dedicated?

    It's bad in Memphis
    Wsrob

I got some good stuff out of high point also went to Cali ... But it's real hit and miss .. Seems when I had a company truck all was well but when I bought tge retired freightliner ( nice truck ) it went down hill

    Tons of dead head

Great company for a company driver but the IC part not so good unless u like to dead head

And on percentage 62% of 0 is still 0

    Lol

I used to be on a dedicated AOC resin account but our great management team at my terminal ( Memphis ) lost it ....

I agree with u rob it's 95% my terminal not the company

That's too bad but then a company is the sum of its parts. Hopefully they will get on the ball. I don't believe I have met you yet out in the system but i have spent some time with some other Memphis drivers. They say similar things.

What about those dedicated runs with the nitrogen tanks tanks strapped on the fenders. I rescued one of those a while back from a driver who was almost out of hours. He brought it to the yard and I did the rest, washout in Bluegrass and all. That seems like a sweet run.

I don't know anything about QC, but Miller has been advertising heavy for IC's in the Memphis area if that is any help. Enterprise in W. Memphis also has IC's and are hiring.

I really like the way Miller pipes the trucks for pump loads. They run the connection to the back of the tractor so you can use one hose from a belly drop tank to the pump. Smart!

The run you were talking about is
    Muscitine Iowa , herbicide

Then wash out at blue grass then mt to Memphis

It is not rated round trip or dedicated I pulled it several times as a comp hand but I lost my rear on it as an IC as it rated one way
    775 for a IC

But 1100 plus miles round trip so basically
0.85 give or take to the truck

    Memphis rates are terrible ...
And not rated correctly in most cases which is a terminal issue
