i passed my cdl permit test in august 2012 but never did my medical exam, as i was working and so the cdl went on the back burner but i am intrested in completing my medical but not sure if its expired because i waited too long to have the exam done. am i going to have to take the test over?

Yes, the permit is something like 90 days and then you have to start all over.

Most likely you will have to redo the permit testing. Now that your medical is tied to your license you will most likely have to get your physical done by an FMCSA approved Dr./clinic before you can take the permit tests.

Keep in mind that you will most likely have to take your medical card & or long form to the DMV with you to test, and after each time you renew your physical.
