Question About Companies In South

Look into reefer companies. FL is mostly a dead zone for any other freight. Because the rates are too low on stuff coming out of there. So most companies won't go south of Jacksonville.

Davis runs the SE doing mostly Publix loads. But as far as FL to out west. I know Indian River does it but they are tanker. R.E. Garrison but they are based out of ALABAMA. Maybe try CEI or any of those produce hauling reefer companies.

 

You could also try some smaller car-hauling outfit. Haz-matguru is right: there's not much in the way of freight coming out of FL but groceries isn't the only thing requiring outbound shipment from there. Jacksonville seems to be a major auto transport hub, as well as certain other major cities south of there. As a matter of fact, our company does a lot of FL to AZ/NM/CA.

Looked at FBF website. One of those that just has the app to fill out and gives no information whatsoever about what they offer drivers. Just got to love those

 

If I had a successful company, that's how I would do it (not saying that's the case with Florida Beauty though). Good potential employees would be the ones to call in and ask to speak to someone about stuff anyways. Just my 2 cents, I could be wrong.
