Hey do you know all if DS would allow me to drive my own truck in their training due to my disablity and having to have modifications made to the truck in order to drive? ( hand controls because I cant use my feet to do the pedals)
If not, what would be your recommendation for a starting trucker with a disability that has no experience?

It's beyond the modifications. I don't know what your disability are but it sounds like you need to have a skill performance evaluation certificate before you can even drive any CMV modified or not.

One thing I can give you, you have ambition follow your dreams sir, don't take no for an answer and go set down with the school and ask questions write down all of them. As far as the skill performance test do research, look up the federal guidelines go for it.

Thanks alot wishful.. This has been a dream of mine for a VERY long time now, actually ever since I first sat in a semi as a young boy and I dont intend on taking no for an answer.. I've had people tell me that theres no way I could drive a truck ( no one here) but I just shake it off and hope for the best.. Any other advice/support would be appreciated..
