I have been driving for about 6 years, with almost 1 year over the road. I dont mind my company, but trying to figure out if I am getting paid right. I get 25% of the load after fuel surcharge, broker fee, and some misc. stuff. They keep bol's hidden, so you have to take their word on what the load pays. I am 48 states, and average 2000 - 2500 miles a week. My paycheck average is a little under or right at 600 a week. Of course the last three weeks I havent made more than 500. It seems like everybody out there is making more than me, but I am trying to find out. If it matters, I live in Dallas, tx. thank you for any advice yall can give me. Not trying to whine about money, but dont wanna be wasting time out on the road if I am not making what I should.

If you are getting 25% of a cheap rate then who knows. Ask to see a copy of the frieght bill and see what your company says. They will either tell you "Here it is" or "Go pound sand".

I dont pull a Flatbed and I make ALLOT more then that, your getting ripped off. You should be makeing more then I am lol

Most flatbed jobs even for a new driver right out of school start .05cpm higher then van driver do...

I'm guessing you drive for a small carrier? theres lots of flatbed carriers that should be willing to hire someone with that much experiance. I'd look around, you got Maverick, TMC, Melton, we even have a flat bed Division.

That is what I was thinking. When any driver asks to see the bol, they say it is confidential. I am gonna start looking around for something different. Yeah, it is a small carrier, only about 11 trucks. I like them cause the truck isnt governed, and no qualcom or eobr or anything, but it is really about the money. Gotta try to find something that is regional where I am home weekly. Anyways, thanks for the help!

    They are required to.

If I were looking for a flatbed job in dallas I would make it a point to qualify for Lonestar. Wesite says last two of three years verifiable over the road.
Check out Mcelroy to rack up the time.

Confidential? My arse! They need to be showing you a printout of what the load paid, and what is left after "expenses', including a copy of the BOL.

When I ran flatbed percentage, we got 30% of what the truck made. All the figures were available to us, so there was no mistaking what you were making.

sorry to hear you been ripped off, I would be leaving them and then going and seeking legal advice to recover the money they have not paid you.
