Question About Glass Dedicated

    I saw some dedicated opportunities for the glass division out of Church Hill, TN on the company's website.

    Anyone know what the more frequent freight lanes are for glass? How about out of Church Hill?

    I used to talk a bit with the specialized guys when I was with Schneider...before Maverick acquired Schneider Specialized anyway. I remember those guys seemed satisfied with their jobs.

    Its probably a good gig if Maverick is sinking a small dedicated fleet into it. I am sure that you would be WORKING it hard tho.

    Schneider is back in the glass hauling business. They are going to be doing the trucking for Viracon out of Owattona, MN. Never hauled glass or done flatbed work but soon to find out what it's like. Start on the 13th. couldn't pass it up. The hometime and pay is better than what I get now.

    Home time is out Sunday afternoon or Monday morning and back Friday, one load out and one back haul to the shop. Not real comfortable about the per mile pay sharing but I can tell you that it's about 50 to 60% higher than I make pulling vans at Schneider.

    need to clarify that the per mile is not 50 to 60% higher..the annual pay will be about 50 to 60% higher. Hope that helps. I remember seeing your posts on the Schneider thread...if I remember correctly you went to Mavericks glass division..how do you like it?
