Since I'm just starting out I was curious, what if you start a job do it for a couple of months and decide it's not for you and go look for another opportunity. My question is this will it have a negative effect on your DAC report?

You should stay at least one (1) year before moving from your first OTR job.

You usually don't get a negative DAC until you leave . You won't have it if applying for other jobs while still working .
However you must give your employer as a reference and if they start getting indications you plan to leave they can find a petty excuse to terminate you and give you a negative DAC . Smart thing to do is not work for a carrier subscribed to DAC .
