I know nothing about this so excuse my newbie questions...

I want to be able to have a small cooler, playstation 3 that I can connect online, and hdtv. Also a laptop but of course I can just charge that or simply disconnect tv if I had to.

The cooler I am looking at states the following for power: 12V DC, 48 watts, and 4 amps.

I am guessing that it's max watt are 48 watts does that sound right? Now I am STRONGLY assuming this would be ok to run all night even with the truck off without draining battery.

Obviously ps3, and tv don't have to be on at all times. However, the cooler must be on at all times.

Can anybody help me out? I can't even word my questions right LOL.

Almost all the trucks have a low battery cut off that will cut off your auxillary power and save enough juice to start the engine.

The cooler also may begin to shut off if it senses the batteries are getting low.

In any event, you don't have to worry about your batteries going dead, in most cases if they are good batteries. The computer will shut them down before they die.

But then all your cigarette lighter plugs will go down.

It would be best to go with a company that has APU's or a liberal idle policy. But since you're new you may not have that option. It could mean getting up in the middle of the night and running your engine for a few minutes to recharge if you're really worried about your food going bad.

    davect Thanks this.
