Question about "Log book" ticket in Calif.?

    if u have the electronic logbook , how do you show a officer your days work

    by reviewing your logs with them, or you can have them faxed/emailed to the scale

    Depends on the system. You can not only see the days current log (including inspections) you can seen the previous days hours. We have had drivers get tickets for not being able to show the officer the previous logs.. their loss.

    Those on e-logs are supposed to have an instructional card in the truck with them. This card is specifically for following the requests of an LEO. And if you're on e-logs, and you don't know how to pull up previous days entries, the fault lies entirely on you and your ignorance.

    That's what I told the driver.. oddly, he still had a problem with it. All of the trucks have the instruction book, and the pamphlet with the city abbreviations in it... the driver claimed ignorance... well, it didn't work.
