It depends on the State. Some of them are move over or slow down, some are move over and slow down, some only for emergency vehicles, and some for any vehicle with flashing lights like disabled vehicles.

They usually have signs up when you enter the state letting you know what to expect.

I have the certificate in my briefcase I can dig out but I don't think it says what they are. It was an 8 hour class that basically described how I've survived 37 years out her without killing anyone.

I agree, A) shouldn't be hangin' with 4 wheelers. Their 1st instinct when seeing flashing lights, is to hit the brake. B) Unless it's on some hill or sharp curve, you should see the lights way ahead. What I did, is the second I saw lights, I put my left turn signal on and eased over slowly. The joy of that, was some impatient 4 wheeler shoots around me on the right,,BUSTED!!
