I have recently found out that I'm able to receive a grant to pay for my CDL school tuition. The last step is to take my MVR to the school. I had an accident in February of 2004 in which I was at fault. It reads as follows: "Careless Driving - Disposition was guilty - Crash Indicated". Is this going to affect my chances of becoming a truck driver? Also, it shows the date of the offense as 2-20-2004, but shows a disposition date of 3-25-2010, while showing it was added to the record on 3-29-2010. I'm not sure why it took them years to do all of that, but do any of you see this as a potential issue? Any input will be much appreciated.

Ten almost 11 yrs ago when this happened,I don't see a problem with getting hired.

The only issue may be the CDL school may want 1 or 2 pre-hire letters before you enroll. That's no problem either; several companies will give you pre-hire letters. The pre-hire letter doesn't obligate you at all to any company.
The wreck happened over 10 yrs. ago; almost 11 yrs. ago. You won't have any problem gaining employment as a trucker. -
Thank you both so much. I feel a lot less stressed now.

Most trucking companies only look back over the past 3 to 5 years of your MVR
