Hey guys, not sure if this is in the right section but here goes. Ive been with my current company for about two years. Starting to get offers from other companies so I requested my DAC from hireright to make sure info I was putting on apps was correct. Well I got it in the mail and on the front page where it shows all my info it says that they have no records of my dac/drug reports and such. Thru the papers it shows where my carrier had requested info when they hired me and all my license info but thats about it. Does this mean that nothing is on my dac or something got messed up somewhere? I ca
n provide more info if needed. Thanks in advance.

it will show any inquiry made on your driving record. and it will also show who made the inquiry and the date as well. if all you see is your company name on the report, that means your DAC is clean as a whistle.
edit: the other piece of information that companies are starting to run is your PSP report. you can buy that from the FMSCA. there is a link on the website. A record purchased through PSP contains the most recent 5 years of crash data and the most recent 3 years of roadside inspection data, including serious safety violations, from the FMCSA MCMIS system for an individual driver. The record displays a snapshot in time, based on the most recent MCMIS data load to the PSP system.

Thanks for your reply. The reason I waa requesting my dac was because about 2 months into my career I was backing into a hole on company property and bumped the front of another company truck. No police were called because it was a company accident. But it still had to be reported thru our safety dept and I think I had like 30 days probation. I just wanted to make sure that it wasn't on paper before I told another company I had no accidents. Also since driving I have had zero interraction with any police and no inspections so I believe im in the clear on the PSP. But thank you for the suggestion.

no problem.

the problem with your question is that you are still with the company. what they may or may not report to dac if im correct is more likely to happen after leaving. if that indeed is the only thing youve "done wrong" and its over a year old, i dont know as id neglect to mention it, unless i was applying to a company that wanted no incidents in last 2 years. think the down side of not disclosing it and them finding out (by calling the current employer?) far outweighs the up side of reporting to the prospective employer a "clean" record.

wow...no inspections in 2 years? you are blessed.

Lol yea I have been lucky.

yeah i did forget about that one........some companies are azzh4ts and like to threaten you with bad DAC marks if they feel you are leaving them in a bind, etc.
-
Keep in mind that the company you work for may not subscribe to DAC - most of the larger carriers do and some mid-size companies. Most small ones do not. Not sure what a trucking company membership to DAC costs but I do not think it is cheap. In order to post stuff to DAC a company must pay the monthly fees, etc...just my .02

So if a driver requests their DAC, will be sent to them, correct. Assuming said company is a member?
Any reason it would not be, saying company is a member?
