Yes, if you have the endorsement(s) and are qualified to transport the material, you can put it in a dry van trailer, a reefer trailer, a flatbed trailer, or a tank trailer.
I don't understand your confusion

Thanks
I just thought there must be some other reason for having both H/N and X endorsements. I mean, why have both if they are the same? -
You won't have the H plus the N on your license. If you have hazmat but not tanks, you'll have an "H". If you then go out and get tanks, you'll have an "X". If you drop the hazmat and keep the tanks, you'll have an "N".
brian991219 and Rambler470 Thank this. -
Like bulldog said, if you get both of them it will be combined into an X. I have no idea why they combine them on the license. Maybe it's to save the person money when renewing it? Who knows....Rambler470 Thanks this.

New jersey doesnt have an x endorsement. I just have H and N. Had a few shippers refuse to initially load me because they didnt see an X
Rambler470 Thanks this. -
in my state, H is for motorcycle. I got that.
T-X are for tanker, hazmat, doubles-triples.(my state) -
My endorsements: P, R, N, D, 2, 1.

Now that makes sense to me. Thanks for the replies....
