I have been told that any meds, such as anti-acid tablets (tums/rolaids etc..) allergy pills such as sudafed/Actifed, multi vitamins etc... all have to be in the original box/bottle.

I take actifed for allergies. And am packing some Immodium tablets incase I get the brown squirts. The box these meds come in has a foil sheet inside, with the pills attached to that foil sheet. Do I have to keep them in the bulky box,or can I just take the foil sheet, and throw the box away to save space in my hygeine kit?

I have a small shaving kit just for that. I have anything I might need from green apple quicksteps to headaches. Cough drops, etc they will fit in the kit in their box.

Isn't the back of each blister labelled?

It is federal law that all drugs of all kinds be properly labelled. Some people who drive around with those plastic weekly calendar kits have learned the hard way. It's ridiculous, but this isn't the first law that was.

I've never been bothered, about any of my OTC meds. And I keep a lot of them LOL

Anything that is prescription, should be in it's bottle.

I usually carry a Z-Pac with me, without the prescription label. I keep it in the original box with information sheets. JUST in case I get called on it.

It depends on the state you are in at the time. In my state, it is prescription drugs must be in the original bottle with the information on them, especially controlled substances, i.e. Percocet, Soma, Oxycotin. I see one pill bottle with numerous pills in them. The purpose is to prove that you have a prescription for the, say Percocet, and didn't buy a pill on the street for $10 that a lot of people tend to do these days.

You would be surprised the amount of "pain seekers" that go to there doctors and say how much pain there in and need more Oxy or Percocet. Then when the doc tests there blood or urine, those drugs do not come back in the toxicology report, but cocaine and weed usually do. People get a 90 day supply, selling the pills for $10 a pop and making money and never leaving home. Man I love America.

hydrocodone, oxycodone are synthetic opiods and will come back positive for the opiate portion of the standard 5-panel drug test. A single dose or daily dose may not, but chronic use certainly will.

Soma (Carisoprodol) is not usually controlled, but in a couple states it is.
