hello I would appreciate any help on this. I got my license suspended in January of 2018 for fta, I went to court the next month and got it taken care of and only had to pay the reinstatement fee for no insurance $100. That was in Illinois, I moved to Georgia in June 2018 and got my license down here in July. I’m 21 and have had my license for 4 months in Georgia but have had a license since January 2016.I was lucky enough to have my tickets thrown out by going to court and not end up on my mvr, so the suspension is really the only thing to stop me going to cdl training. My suspension wasn’t for points and I have no criminal history, any companies you feel like would give me a chance to go through training with them? Appreciate anything, sorry for the long post wanted to explain the situation.

I would rhink prime swift or stephens would give you a chance but not sure. Call them and find out. @Chinatown will have more information when he gets on.
Jesus Brito and Chinatown Thank this. -
You have an MVR for each state that you held a license in.
If both of those are clear, then you have nothing to worry about.
You post is a jumble of information, so let's see if I can interpret this correctly.
The problem is with your Illinois license.
You used the word "tickets", so you were pulled over for some reason and were issued tickets for whatever that was, as well as not having insurance.
You didn't show up for court, so your license was then suspended.
When you finally decided to go to court, your tickets were thrown out and you paid to have your license reinstated.
You claim that the tickets will not show up on your MVR.
The license suspension however, probably will.
If so, you will have to list it in the application and explain why it was suspended.Jesus Brito Thanks this. -

If the company does a background check with a license history check, it will ALL pop up, even those things that are thrown out of court.
The concern is the tickets themselves and the pattern of poor driving that they show, the insurance companies in this industry drive EVERYTHING and they set the rules about tickets and all of it.Jesus Brito and x1Heavy Thank this. -
Stevens Transport won't work; you must be 22 yrs. old for their school.
The MVR from IL will show everything that happened in IL, so that may limit your choices of schools.
Try these companies that have cdl school:
CRST
CFI - www.cfidrive.com
Prime Inc.
Swift Transportation
If these companies won't hire you, attend a private 160 hr. cdl school, then there will be companies that will hire you. -
Where are you in Georgia? Which city/town?

When will you be 22 yrs. old? At 22 you can apply with Stevens Transport if the others don't hire you.Jesus Brito Thanks this.
