    Depends on where you live

If you’re around Atlanta , Chattahoochee tech in kennesaw is a good school

My 20 yr old son just completed the CDL training there

He got hired on with a company that will hire under 21

that company has some strict standards
And you have to be able to obtain a military security clearance
can’t owe any back child support

can’t have any Liens foreclosures or judgements in last 7 years

Can’t have any serious traffic offenses in last 7 and can’t have ANY tickets in last 2
And can’t have have any criminal convictions

there were several other companies recruiting out of the school
One that hauls for Lowe’s and guaranteed home every weekend and you can park their truck at a Lowe’s store if there’s one near your house
I met the instructors and they all seemed very competent and most of them were retired UPS line haul drivers

If you do well in the parking lot skills you move on to the road training
    Pretty quick
It’s an 8 week class but the last two weeks are for remedial training if you need it

The vo tech school in Kingsland has a night and weekend class
But I think that’s the only one

You may qualify for some financial aid but $1600 is pretty reasonable

There was a guy in the class with 5 street racing tickets and Apparently that didn’t bother the state
He got his CDL and a job with a dump trucking outfit

    That’s easy

If you’re near Atlanta go to Chattahoochee tech in kennesaw

I know someone who just went Thru their CDL class
    And I met the instructors
Most of whom were retired UPS linehaul drivers

You should get your CDL on your own

If you go Thru a company trainin program the way that works is the company makes a personal loan to you for $7,000 for the class

If you drive for that company for two years (usually) they will forgive the $7k loan

If you quit or get fired before the 24 months is up , you still owe them the $7k

It’s the way the companies keep a steady stream of new low paid drivers who can’t leave for two years
