Yes, Prime has both Pre-Pass and EZ-Pass. I'd estimate that I get green lighted on my Pre-Pass 85-90% of the time.

man thank you very much i feel a whole lot better now

Hey Sazook, have you noticed more reds lately since the last "episode" with the driver that got arrested? Won't give specifics on here, but if you listened to the message while waiting on hold for dispatch, you know what I'm talking about. Not sure if that's going to have an effect on our PrePass, or if the increase in red lights lately has just been the area I've been running. Was in North Carolina yesterday and got a red light with 15k in the box (they had weigh in motion). Pulled in right behind a Prime truck, weighing, they made me weigh, and a Prime truck behind me also got pulled in. Everybody else was getting the green.

That ####### driver better not have screwed things up for us. I was getting the green almost all the time before that.foresaken Thanks this. -
I've been Tenn and West last two weeks and am still getting all green lights....hopefully just a run of bad luck for ya. This week is all the roll-overs Prime has had recently...one a C seat driver....oops. I have seen three fatality truck wrecks in the last week......gotta be careful. Happy 4th everyone.

I dont know about red lights... Given my track record at scale sites over the last couple weeks, I half expect a red light.... but havent got one.
In the last 5 weeks, I have only had to scale at the MD/VA border when I was hauling potatoes up US13 on the DELMARVA pennisula... no pre-pass at this site.... Ive been cross country and back with green lights left and right.
Story goes that NC, VA, MD, and DE run the scales on this route continuously during the potato harvest season... as most trucks move north to be processed... in my case potatoe chips at Frito Lay in CT. -
NC is not a PrePass state, they are a NorPass state. The transponders for each system are identical, so while you won't get a green light in NC, they can still program their system to send a red light to all "non-recognized" transponders (ie. ones registered to PrePass only). Personally, I've never had a light come on in NC, but have had lights come on in OR and WA, both of which are NorPass states, but the only time those have ever been green is when the scales are closed, and I'm assuming that they can program their systems to send green to all transponders regardless of program registration when their scales are closed.
As far as the moron that got arrested north of Kansas City, it sounded like he was arrested by the local Sheriffs Dept, and not state troopers, so maybe there is a chance that there was no inspection report filed with the FMCSA, that listed what he was arrested for. -
hey u2exit and ironpony or anybody else do yall anything about the flatbed division at prime this is the division im going in on july 8 thanks for any info
-
Flatheaders... um... don't they issue those guys drool cups??!!!

What do you want to know? The last time I talked to a friend on their side he was doing a lot better in terms of loads. Quit biotchin' about not making money, so I'd say they're quite a bit better than anytime in the last year. -
Anybody heading to Prime in Pittston Pa on the 13th of july?
