I need help if anyone can assist me. I have a load to pump off on Monday. I was told to use air to assist the pump off. I was always told to make sure that I vent the tank while pumping off a load or the tank would get sucked in. Can I use air to assist pump off and if so, what are the steps and precautions to follow? Thanks for any help or tips.

Indeed what product.
In my time we cracked the hatch just a little bit for things like Milk so that the tanker is not destroyed by the pump.
If you are adding air, I am thinking about many products that will definitely have a problem if it is allowed to escape. Some of which are hazmat. -
Oh wow this is about something else.
Shock Therapy, Pianoman and G13Tomcat Thank this. -
It is a non hazardous latex. Some type of adhesive or glue product.
G13Tomcat Thanks this. -
You should have no problem keeping up with air to the tanker as you pump. That sort of thing should already be built in at the customer. -

So, I guess that I air up the tank first to build pressure so it doesnt suck in. Then start the pump. Im sure the customer should hae knowledge about it, but we all know who is at fault when something goes bad. I dont wanna be the guy driving back home with the sucked in tank and everyone saying, someone is gonna get fired LOL. Thanks for the help so far
