NEVER AIR!!!!! Stick to that rule. Nitrogen is fine, but you will at some point deliver to a customer that says to use air. "We've done it that way for years". Not on your watch.

I used to air off resin at the papermill. Keeping pressure below 30 psi or the automatic release valve would scare the beejeesus out of me. Make sure there's no pressure left in the tanker before opening dome lid when finished unloading.

With some latex loads, you might want to keep the tank under pressure after you unload.
Prevents the latex from drying up. -
ChicagoJohn Thanks this.

slim shady Thanks this.

Those 2 are allways under pressure.
(The product builds up pressure on it's own) -

Venting a tank means you need a source where air is able to flow through the tank... either open the latch on top so there is constant air flow... a sealed tank once the product is out it with suck the tank in because of no air supply

But never move an empty tank with stored pressure
Like 10-20 or 30 psi, you puncture and charged tanked it'll explode.
