I have been driving team for a few years and now I am single driver and I almost forget the rules. Let say I have 63 hours (driving + on duty) in 8 days. On the 9th day I will have 7 hours + whatever I had on the first day. Right?

My second question is, does off duty counts like 34 hours restart?

you have to be off duty. i've heard dot give crap for logging 34 sleeper. cuz they know you weren't in the sleeper for 34 hours. specially if you claim it on hometime.

on the 9th day you gain what ever drops off on the first day.

you want total hours for the past 7 days to know what you've got left for the 8th day.

And your 34 reset must include two consecutive nights off from 1am to 5am regardless what time you normally drive your shift. Night drivers get screwed with this.

    Right.

If you're out of the truck off-duty, at home or a motel. Otherwise I'd log a 34 between Off-Duty and Sleeper.

Here's how I am doing it. The small number at the bottom left of each box is the number of hours worked that day. The number at the top is how many hours are available at the beginning of the day. When a reset is done just remember not to add any hours back from the day directly above. In this example the recap hours start on the 17th. I must not have done a complete reset over the 16th to qualify. So on the 17, in the morning, I have 3.5 hours available. I worked 3.5 hours that day, and at the end of the day I gained back 8.75 for the 18th.

If I am in Canada (70 in 7) then the hours I worked for the day directly above get added to available hours at THE START of the day.
