Can you take a tractor trailer on 89 from Utah to Flagstaff then get on 17 to Phoenix?

The motor carrier road atlas says under restricted routes " AZ 89A AZ89 to I-17"

My husband just finished training and texted me to check this for him. His trainer made him leave a lot of stuff in his truck including his motor carrier atlas and he didn't get home time before going solo. I'm looking in the spare we have at home but I'm not sure what I am reading. He's having trouble with his phone so hopefully, he gets my text. (I have no idea why he is asking)

    Thank you!

He needs to take the 89 to I40 in west in Flagstaff, then I17 to Phoenix. Stay off 89A.

    Winchester Thanks this.

89A is a bad road for trucks but 89 is the only way from Utah to AZ. beautiful trip too

Your husband needs to get an atlas. They're not that expensive.Hard telling when he gets home and he can't depend on you for routing help.Or getting help from his depatcher.I know you mean well but you're not a driver.

He tried to get an atlas but he had a bit of trouble. He cracked his debit card while in training, new one's here on the table. His credit card was declined, turns out they put a fraud alert on it due to excessive multi-state use. He needed to save his cash for food until the credit card issue was straightened out. Now his phone is acting up so I am not even sure if he got the message he can use his credit card now to buy an atlas and other supplies.

Like I said, I have no idea why he texted me. I am not even sure if he's getting my texts right now.

    Thanks for the help!
