I was written up in Wyoming for a "Form and Manner" violation on my Canadian logs... that isn't required in Canada. o_O

The officer did rewrite it after I pointed out her error, but she still stuck me with the CS 30 minute rest violation from Montana. No good deed goes unpunished. :(

If you are dropping the empty at the mill, going home then picking up a load at different shipper when you begin your next trip it is questionable. You are technically moving towards your next load. Also if your trips start from your house you are under dispatch when you are returning to your house.
Stupid and a bunch of gotcha rules to make the HOS "more flexible"

It’s always same shipper. And I just play it off as I PC’d to town to get groceries. Then got dispatched. None of their business.

    mudflap77 and kemosabi49 Thank this.

And not all my trips start from same shipper 15 miles away. Sometimes I go home with a load for my reset. In that case I have a yard I drop my trailer in, then pc 15 miles home.
