Man, I'm getting a mixed bag of info in regards to work in ND. I worked in Vernal in 08/09 moving production water in a bobtail before being laid off shortly after inaguration and been trying to get back in the filed ever since. Now, I went through a placement company to find my "in" and I'm not hearing very good things; working 20 hours straight then sitting for 2-3 days off, not being paid correctly, etc., etc. I was a lead driver for my short minute in Vernal and simply want a crack at it again, but sure as heck don't wanna drive 1,800 miles from Los Angeles to Minot, to simply run into BS. Any feedback about ND (companies good/bad) and wht's really going on up there would be appreciated~ L

PS. I hear too that concealed fire-arms permits being issued are through the ROOF up there. What's up with that?

It's similar to the gold rush in 1849 in Ca. Everybody hears of jobs/money and want in. However, a lot of misfits head there as well.
