Question About X Endorsement

Shouldn't need to. Don't know for certain about Texas, but in WI you just take the written tests for the stuff you are adding (road test if applicable). I was looking at adding my passenger endorsement a few years ago, and didn't have to take the tests for everything.

 

T&X are for hazmat/tanker/doubles-triples (at least, in my state).

you would need to take the written tests only for what ever endorsements you want.

 

Nope, that's it. You can get your doubles and triples and have

TX in TX

 

Not sure how it is there, but in NV I had to have my background check and fingerprints done before the DMV would even let me take the hazmat test.

Idaho is the same.

 

In CA you have to take all the tests over if its been over a year after renewal, however you can take all the tests before finger print and background, however they won't send the new lic till you do,I just did mine and had to take eight tests to "Get er done"

 

sw1241 has it right. In CA, if you are not up for a renewal, be ready to take every written test - car, motorcycle, airbrakes, triples, etc., etc.
