    Not exactly sure about the hiring area, but we run a lot out west. I think starting pay for <1 year is .34. That's what I was told when I was hired, but I'm getting .35 for some reason.

    West as in cali or west as in Oregon and Washington state? .34 not bad, do they keep you moving other than the usual delays that come with refer work?

    For me, it's only been CA, NV, and CO so far, but I've only been here two months. I know there's a place in Sumner, WA that we deliver too. They've kept me moving pretty well so far. I'm getting 2800-3200 miles a week. The one thing I really like is the runs are usually pretty long. Most of mine have been around 1500 miles. That really helps offset the delays at shippers/receivers that always occurs with reefer.

    That sounds like some good miles I've never been west of Denver that's why I was asking. thanx for the info, One more question I read that training is 9-12 weeks with a trainer and you are considered second seat that whole time. Is it that long or can you progress out of training faster?

    I just talked to a recruiter this morning.
    Seems time with a trainer is 12 weeks.
    Then you run team OTR for one year.
    THEN you can run solo..... I called
    OK, wasn't exactly what I was looking for, but if the miles are there, then it will work.
    My biggest concern would be getting a safe co-driver. No idea how they put teams together, but will worry about that later.

    Thanks for the info Mary. If you wouldn't mine let me know how it goes, Im due to go back to driving again the 1st of the year and this is my number one choice company and don't want to get burned bad like the last company I signed on with. Feel free to pm me if you have time.
