Other than the FSC the biggest complaint would be poor-mouthing the load in order to pocket more than your services are worth. The service is valuable but it is only worth so much.
You sleep at home, eat at home, see your family and snuggle with momma every-day. You have overhead of phone, printer/fax/copier, a PC, and perhaps a little extra electricity than normal.
Driver eats otr, sleeps in a box, deals with traffic, DOT, shippers, weather, tarps, lumpers, break-downs, 2290, ins., permits, fees, ifta, maintenance, odd hours, sees his family for 34 hours every 2 weeks (if that), truck/trailer payment, risks his/her life everyday...................
Starting to see why a brokers percentage should only be a set amount instead of finding the most desparate slug out there to haul a load as cheap as possible?rookietrucker Thanks this. -
thanx 4 ur reply -
Look at google routes before bidding a job. If you want to base it on a straight line, then go ahead and hire birds to haul the load.
