I started in March 2008. For the full year of 2009 I made $47,318.
I did have trainees for a total of 15 weeks. So, without "crunching" 52 weeks of numbers, I estimate $40k for the year if I had not been a trainer for those weeks.
Following figures are pre-taxed
Best one week check solo was $1223.61
Best one week check as a trainer was $1943.04
Longest single load 3,253 miles.
Shortest single load 9 miles.
Worst week on the road (out all 7 days) was $423.15...
I work for what some people around here call a "bottom feeder." But even in a bad economy, I recieved 2 pay raises last year (from .34 to .35 then .355)when I hit the required milage marks (on time, and without me reminding them). In another couple weeks I will hit .36
I go over my pay statements with a fine tooth comb and I had only one pay issue last year, and it was corrected on the next check. (FM had me DH 500 miles without an acutal dispatch and forgot to add the miles when I finally got the load dispatch.)JustSonny Thanks this. -

I am just about at the end of my first year. My annualized salary is just under 50k. I did however fall in to a huge pile of ####, and found a gold piece. I started hauling fuel with almost zero experience outside of farm driving.
JustSonny Thanks this.
