Question for SNI choice guys. Why did you choose?

By SNI having those inspections and training it helps find drivers who need help and keeps the csa score in check. It benefits us as drivers in terms of less inspections.

 

All the training videos do is meet the dot requirements for holding company safety meetings.

 

You can use your own fuel card. But it's a little bit more work to do. You have mail in every fuel receipt, to SNI. I don't think you can use both?

 

Well if all the videos do is satisfy the D.O.T then whats your answer for for the check rides........ again it gets them in with drivers and lets them evaluate us and helps keep every one safer.

 

Why wouldn't you be able to? They need to know how much you spent for the fuel tax, but thats the only reason not to.

It doesn't matter how or where you buy fuel as long as you send in a copy of the receipt so the fuel tax and fuel usage is recorded. You could take the hit on the fuel tax if you want and not report it, and thereby show better fuel mileage for the month but it is a risk. If your mileage is unusually high all of a sudden, you may get bumped back to some really low rate and owe a bunch of fuel tax. Risky.

 

They want the receipts for taxes and logging.

 

And to compute your mpg for reporting.
